Solve to read the birthday message
I’m not sure if you’ll even open this. Is something still a work of art if nobody ever sees it? I had SO much fun making this. I hope it makes you smile. I like your smile quite a bit. And how you eat fries with honey. And how you remember completely unnecessary moments in excruciating detail.
Dostoevsky (allegedly) said “Two intelligent people cannot fall in love; true love needs one idiot.” In other words, he does not believe we are meant to be. Fuck Dostoevsky. He’s too dead for me to heed his advice. So it goes. Either I’m smarter than him so his advice is incorrect, or I’m actually an idiot, which solves the problem anyway. Life is all about win-win situations.
I thought about what you said when we last talked. I get where you’re coming from. In my excitement I fumbled, became inconsiderate, and started rushing. I’m incredibly sorry. I really appreciate all the effort you put in on my birthday, and I wish I could do the same for you.
I hope 26 brings a finished marathon, a finished book for your grandparents, and many more crazy entertaining stories. If you ever want to hang after the race/once I have settled in my apartment, I'd love that. Happy birthday, Chloe. The best is yet to come.
PS here is a pic of the $2.10 present I had designed for your birthday. It arrived on time. There are some easter eggs I don’t expect you to find. A magician never reveals his secrets.
PPS I had more fun coding up an insanely difficult “Chloe’s Connections” but don’t want to overwhelm you.
